NASCAR Tickets – NASCAR and Policy at Texas Motor Speedway Wed
Texas Gov. Rick Perry has kept no secrets about playing favorites when it comes to NASCAR, and he is encouraging over Bobby Labonte stock car No. 71 from the Texas Motor Speedway on April 18 Samsung Mobile 500. Perry has officially joined politics with NASCAR, and his reelection campaign is sponsoring a car Labonte in the next race in Texas.
For lovers of racing <a href="http://www.stubhub.com/nascar-tickets/"> NASCAR tickets </ a> to Texas this month's race Sprint Cup, a first glance the history in the making will zoom around the track. Labonte No. 71 Chevy will feature red and blue letters with the words "Governor Perry" that adorns the front and "Governor Perry 2010" written on the back of the car. Perry cough $ 225,000 for the sponsorship of one race, and Republican will be rooting from below (Labonte is currently 31st in points table) to take the Samsung Mobile 500 Sprint Cup Series race in mid-April.
Speaking to The Dallas Morning News about sponsorship unlikely, compared Perry Governor Bobby Labonte is driving the strong economy of Texas, "stating that "You build it right and you know what he is capable." The TRG Motorsports has been extraordinary in the Sprint Cup circuit since 1991, and power has long Labonte NASCAR is perhaps what has led a governor of Texas to make history by becoming the first politician ever to sponsor a stock car. Labonte spent most of their peak career years Joe Gibbs Racing in the late '90s and early '00s, and No. 71 has notched some very impressive numbers Cup Series circuit, winning the championship Cup in 2000 and coming second overall in 1999.
Although last year was only marginally successful for Labonte, who finished 30th overall after of the 2009 season, perhaps the support of Governor Perry will help light a fire under the driver's 45-year-old. The name has deep roots Labonte NASCAR Bobby's brother Terry Labonte also has been a NASCAR legend of old, and Corpus Christi, Texas native will have more than a little support from their state Texas native, as he makes his way to the Texas Motor Speedway later this month 500 for Samsung Mobile. As for Rick Perry's campaign for reelection, that is a story for another day.
