The superstar of NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Jr
Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr., was born on October 10, 1974 in Concord, North Carolina with the Earnhardt fire in belly. Although her parents separated when he was still a child, he is still very close to their parents. A fire destroyed the house of his mother forced him and his sister, Kelly, to live with Earnhardt Sr. and his new wife, Teresa, while his mother moved to Virginia. Earnhardt Jr. was a bit of a rascal in his youth so when his father saw fit to send him to military school for two years, though, by the time Earnhardt Jr. reached the age of 15 years, decided to be like his father.
When I was 17, Earnhardt Jr. managed to raise $ 500 after scrimp and save to buy his first race car of a repository scrap. It was a 1979 Monte Carlo that needed much work. Then he, his half brother, Kerry, and the father worked in repair. His father was just determined to help with reconstruction the race car and nothing else. Earnhardt Jr. stayed in their own resources once they got behind the wheel to learn how to build their own skills. Once high school was over, Earnhardt Jr. enrolled in a course of two years at Mitchell Community College in North Carolina. She enrolled in a course in automotive and during that time, he worked as a mechanic with his father. Word spread quickly about changing their oil.
With its race car jointly owned (Kerry had something to say on it), Earnhardt Jr. joined the division of Late Model stock cars. It was then perfected their skills and acquired knowledge more necessary in cars. One of his competitors then was his sister, Kelley. The only third generation champion of NASCAR just started his career at the age of 17. He won the 1998 and 1999 Busch Series titles over Matt Kenseth. In 2000, Earnhardt Jr., competed for his first Winston Cup victory. He also wrote a nonfiction book entitled "DRIVER # 8", which was based primarily on his rookie season.
The following year was one of the worst years for Earnhardt Jr. in 2001, finished second in the 2001 Daytona 500, but his father had crashed in turn four and did not survive. death Earnhardt Sr. made shudder Earnhardt Jr. attitude, although he did race at Rockingham the following weekend. Weirdly enough, she finished in 43rd place after an accident which was very similar to what his father had died the previous week. Earnhardt Jr. returned to his feet and won more races at Dover, Talladega and Daytona.
In 2002, Earnhardt Jr. had to suffer a concussion at Fontana in April that resulted in the finish of the places that were no better than the 30th position. He however recovered and was able to get two more wins at Talladega, as well as two Bud Pole Award and finished in 11 th in the standings. In 2003, Earnhardt Jr. was really showing its true bull by the horns when he was awarded the NMPA Most Popular Driver award and win in Phoenix in October. It has come to winning a championship many more, many agree, Mr. Earnhardt would have been proud.
Earnhardt Jr. is not only an excellent driver, is also a businessman. He owns Hammerhead Entertainment, which is a media producer and is also associated with the investors who are currently building Motorsports Alabama Park, Dale Earnhardt Jr. One Speedway. It has also made cameo appearances in several video clips of music, radio and television and shoes of various advertisements.
